Well its not often that I get giddy and tongue tied when meeting someone but when the producers of Animal Planet's "It's Me Or The Dog" called on us to help with an episode for a Pit Bull....I screamed!! Victoria Stilwell has always been a hero of ours. Her training techniques are not only creative but so productive and positive. I love her tenacity yet her compassion for people and their dogs. She treats every dog and their family as an individual issue as opposed to other "TV evangelistic dog trainers" who "whisper" the same thing over and over and over. I urge my own training students to watch her show and learn. Vikki is one bad ass bitch and we love her!!
Due to the increasing number of people showing up that have become obsessed fans, stalkers or that think we are a public zoo, we now have to take control of the situation. We are a sanctuary for these animals and the last thing they want or need is someone coming by just to "check them out". We DO NOT give tours or allow the public to walk around like the animal shelter. Visitations are for those adopting, boarding or training only. This is not only for liability reasons, but for the sake of the privacy of these animals that have already had a tough life.
