Onion is one of our “swampies” that came to us through our Assumption Parish location. Raised a typical country dog, he likes to do just about anything. He has an amazing toy drive and loves the water. Being a Lab mix, he does have the energy level of a Lab so he will need someone who is going to do fun things with him but with him heading toward his golden years, he is no longer “hyper” but has a fun energy level.
He already has some training on him and by the time, you adopt him, he will know all sorts of fun tricks. He really enjoys learning new things and is always up for a challenge. Onion is also crate trained and just an all-around well-behaved guy. Being that he has some pretty intense toy drive, we would recommend older children. Little kids’ toys and dog toys can be mistaken for each other.
Onion although a typical Lab when it comes to toys and water, he is not a big fan of wanting other dog friends. He is his own man and prefers to be single with his human. For that reason, we want to place him as an only dog and let him retire as such. If there is another grumpy old man (or woman) who wants to hang out with a cool, chill dog that still has a little giddy-up and go…this is your guy!
