Sponsor/Virtually Adopt a VRC Dog or Cat

Welcome to the most essential programs for VRC. We have two available, and their importance cannot be expressed in words.

The first is our SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM where you can help support one of our dogs (and now cats) on a monthly basis. The dogs/cats in this program are considered “lifers” due to either behavioral or medical reasons and will remain with us for their entire lifetime.

Under each dog/cat’s profile picture, there is a drop-down menu where you can choose the monetary donation that best suits your budget. If you do not feel comfortable making a donation through our secured website option, you can also mail a check each month to: Villalobos Rescue Center, P.O. Box 39, Napoleonville, LA. 70390 (be sure to put a note with your check as to which dog/cat you wish to sponsor)

When you become a VRC SPONSOR, we will send out your dog/cat’s photo postcard and send you a personal invite to our private VRC SPONSORS FACEBOOK GROUP, where you can keep up with your dog/cat through posted pictures and videos.

The second program we have is our VRC VIRTUAL ADOPTER PROGRAM. This allows you to make a one-time donation of $300 for a dog currently listed for adoption. Once you make this symbolic adoption fee donation, we will list your name under that dog’s photo on our website.  You will then be invited to join our private VRC VIRTUAL ADOPTERS FACEBOOK GROUP, where you can interact with other “adopters” and send “your” dog goodies, and keep up with “your” dog’s adoption process.

The cost to keep one dog or cat here at VRC is approx. $3000/year due to heartworm treatment and prevention, vaccinations (cats have so many more health issues than the dogs), food, and their upkeep by employees.  So, for one dog or cat, having several sponsors is good for them as it helps cover their needs.  For the dogs that are here for adoption, our hope is that anyone who virtually adopts them, that their donation can help offset their care until they go to their forever home.

Our sponsorship and/or virtual adoption program can also make an excellent gift for those who can’t actually adopt a “real” four-legged buddy but instead can have a “virtual” companion.
