Welcome to probably one of the most important programs for VRC. Our monthly sponsorship program allows you to virtually “adopt” one of our dogs and help support he/she through a monetary donation that can either be deducted automatically through PayPal or you can send a good ole fashioned check.
There are several monetary options available through the drop down menu under each dog’s name. You can choose whichever fits your budget ($10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $40, $50, $100). Our PayPal link accepts debit or credit cards. and if you choose the automatic/monthly option, it will be deducted electronically each month. Or if you would rather send a check, you may do so but make sure you list your desired sponsored dog’s name. You can mail your check to: P.O. Box 39, Napoleonville, LA. 70390
While most of our dogs are here awaiting a home, some are up for adoption but due to some behavioral issues, may take longer than usual to get a new home. This can be due to mental abuse, neglect, lack of socialization or pending medical conditions. In either case, our little four-legged buddies need a virtual friend.
Then we have dogs that are sadly not adoptable due to severe medical conditions and in some cases, severe emotional distress and are not able to leave our facility. As much as we want all of our dogs to get a home of their own, it is simply and sadly, not possible.
For a monthly donation (you can pick the amount), on your initial introduction packet, you will receive a photo of your sponsored VRC pooch, signed by Tia Torres, thanking you for your support. It is the monthly sponsorship donations that keep the rescue afloat. Without them, we could not keep our doors open and help the dogs that we all love so much.
Additionally, upon joining, you will get an invite to our new private group on Facebook for VRC Sponsors Only where you will be able to see constant updates on not only your sponsored dog but the other dogs as well.
The cost to keep one dog here at VRC is approx. $3000/year due to heartworm treatment and prevention, vaccinations, food and their upkeep by employees. So for one dog to have several sponsors is good for them as it helps to cover their needs. Each dog can have their own “virtual family”
Our sponsorship program can also make a great gift for those that can’t actually adopt a “real” pooch but instead can have a “virtual” companion.
If you have any questions, feel free to email Tia at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
