Donna Summer’s song “Hot Stuff” comes to mind when I see this little lady strutting her stuff like her sh*t don’t stink. She may be tiny but she is mighty and a ball of sass!
Marlow Mae is the size of a large Beagle but she is a legend in her own mind and she thinks she’s a Great Dane. She is sweet as can be with her humans and loves to hang out and enjoy one-on-one but her preference…patrolling the perimeter of the yard and scare off intruders whether they walk on two or four legs. Although she is VERY friendly with everyone, it’s that bark of hers that makes you think again about coming into the yard. It will literally make you pee on yourself. It’s LOUD!
Her sniffer is what legends are made of. She can smell something half a mile away (at least that’s what it feels like) and with that alarming bay/bark of hers, she won’t quit until the intruders leave the area. She is such a bad ass.
Sadly, Marlow Mae was just diagnosed with cancer. But she didn’t get the memo. This little biatch will stay outside all day, raging at anything and everything that comes within “nose range.” She will burst through the pack of hounds at the house and push them around like they are her minions. Did I say she was THAT bad ass? Haha!
We have no idea how much longer she will be with us, but if we judge her remaining time here on Earth with her spunk and personality…she’s going to outlive all of us!
