If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this pup’s first pic taken is worth a million tears.
When we got the call about a stray dog in one of our many sugar cane fields, there trying to find warmth and comfort during the brutal winter weather was this pie-eyed Pit Bull, curled up on this piece of cardboard. He barely lifted his head when we pulled up and you could see that he had just given up.
But after lots of TLC and getting all of his medical done so that he felt good on the inside just as much on the outside, “Couzan” (it’s Cajun) is ready to find YOUR bed in YOUR house.
Couzan is now a happy frolicking, goofy, forever a puppy kind of dog. He loves to play with other dogs and he is currently a student in our Underdogs Prison Dogs Program. He will be graduating in a few months and will be ready for parole. We are looking for a loving “parole officer” to welcome him into their home.
