Beria: Small but Mighty, Still Searching for Her Forever Home
On a freezing January morning, Beria was left outside our New Orleans location, abandoned with another adult dog and a puppy. Witnesses told our staff that all three were dumped together, but after four long hours of searching in the cold, we were only able to find and rescue Beria and her companion, Megatron. Sadly, the puppy was never spotted—we can only hope a kind stranger took them in.
Beria didn’t make her rescue easy. She was understandably scared, vocal and uncooperative, unsure of our intentions. But the moment we leashed Megatron, something changed. She let her guard down just enough to allow us to bring her to safety.
Fast forward to now, and Megatron has long since found his forever home.
But Beria? She’s still waiting.
She may be small (under 40lbs), but her personality is anything but. Beria is a spunky, confident little pittie who knows what she likes! She enjoys meeting new people, although it takes her a little to warm up, but after a few minutes she will be attached to your hip.
She LOVES making dog friends, and has made many here at the rescue. She enjoys playing, but also highly enjoys sunbathing and lounging.
She is perfectly crate trained, and loves car rides. She is the perfect passenger. She loves an adventure, and anything that involves snacks or playing with her favorite toys.
She has been Virtually Adopted, so her adoption fee is already covered for an approved application. 🙂
