When we received the call from animal control that there was a neglected dog in need of help, we could’ve never imagined such a heartbreaking sight. There sat this tiny little puppy, tied up so tight that she could only move a few inches in either direction. Sitting in her own filth, her body so emaciated, it appeared that she hadn’t eaten in weeks. There in the Louisiana heat with no water, this little girl managed to survive long enough for us to come an rescue her.
We named her Unicorn on the spot because she felt so “magical”. Her presence was that of a dog that was full of life and wanted to survive.
After months of medical treatment and allowing her to be loved again, she is finally ready for a home of her own!!!
